About Lauren Brandy
Lauren Brandy is a mom, crafter, painter and lover of cheese. She does not like drinking brandy, though. Crafting under the name speckled hen since 2005, she's now morphed into a complete goody-goody. Her first sewing experience was attempting to hem a pair of maternity pants.
Hopped up on hormones, it ended badly. Since then, she's learned to love sewing and combining fabrics in new ways to make yummy creations. She incorporates vintage textiles in many of her creations and this retro state of mind influences her stitch designs. When not shuttling little ones around or ignoring housework, she can be found blissfully buried under piles of fabric in her craft room, thinking up what to make next. And waiting patiently for happy hour.
